A Nod to The Chief

I was discussing The Chief/JB's recent feature of Capt Karl with a few JB readers. I'm not going to co-opt JB, go to The Chief for the link. Capt Karl is, as the English would say, a nutter. But read him and see for yourself.

Anyway, as we chuckled over the bizarre philosophy floated by Cat Karl someone mentioned Steve Quayle www.stevequayle.com. I'd never heard of him but after reading a few of his postings, he is far and away nut job #1 in my book. Capt Karl doesn't come close to the fear and paranoia floated by Quayle.

Any other blogs way out there? Post 'em here!

Doug,

Saw the comments you made over at The Chief's about Ribble being far right (I think it was "very, very, very").

Care to elaborate on that?

I went to a Ribble event and he seemed pretty down to earth, but I'm willing to listen.

Thanks.

Jeremy:

I realize you are a supporter of the candidate by looking at your blog. That is great, to have a candidate to support in your district. I do not live in that district so I do not have a horse in this race.

Let us not pretend though that he is not very far right. He runs a Christian Music label from his home? As such:

“I was at my church one Sunday morning, listening to our youth pastor explain how they were going to be selling donuts to help raise funds....I wanted to help, so I purchased a dozen. The problem is, I did not want a dozen donuts,” explained Reel Loud Records President, Reid Ribble. “We began to explore ways that Reel Loud Records could partner with local organizations to help them raise the funds they need to go where God is leading.”

The Ribble family is very well known and regarded in the Fox Valley area. That they have been very successful in their endeavors is without question. They have helped many causes with their time, money and efforts as well. There also is no question that the family has belonged to a very conservative evangelical Christian sect.

If that is who you are, say so, run on it and don't hide it in the backgroud.

BTW, I think Kagen is without question, a first class ass. Remember the made up story about about him confronting Karl Rove at the Whithouse? Yep, jackass. The 'injun time' comment. Oh yeah, first class jerk.

Kagen is an ass and should be defeated but Ribble is too far right for that district.

Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to respond.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I'm not convinced that running a Christian music label from your home makes you very far right.
