Did anyone catch Frederica Freyberg's interview of Biddy Martin on WI Public TV. How and why will she be running our flagship UW?
Very uninspiring and not very polished in this interview, one wonders what leadership abilities she has. Was she the best applicant? If she was, that truly was a sorry lot!
I imagine her term in office will be both short and unproductive.

With the crappy salaries this state pays its academics, what do you expect? No one worth having will settle for the chicken feed the cheapskates of this state consider a salary. Plenty of states out there that are not overrun with knucklewalking neanderthals.
She's the smartest person I've ever known. She's also one tough cookie. You people are judging her on one interview? Polished. I'll tell you who's polished: Blythe Danner. Let's have her. Polish is really such an important quality. Forget stamina, dediction, intelligence, creativity, drive, a sense of fairness and a marvelous record of leadership. Let's find someone polished.
